I am an experienced artist with a real interest in meeting the brief. There must always be a spark, a fresh angle, to any project, to which I can add my interest in art, literature, languages and history, and my experience of life in another culture.

Besides the cartooning for Junior Geo, I keep looking, at people, moving pictures, TV, bandes dessinees/bandas desenhadas - no goths, thanks, unless you want a laugh...

Storyboarding for commercials taught me the ins and outs of moving pictures, while work on animation engaged my ability to organise and economise - to keep it snappy!

The people I draw must live, show what's inside them - as in translation, it's a matter of seeing things through another pair of eyes. Life in another country, in Porto, Portugal, took me into a place with different sensibilities, further than the French bandes dessinees, to a city bearing its history, traditions, its own generous pride. From its pockets in time come ideas and fresh perspectives on the familiar. My enjoyment of the Portuguese and French languages does much the same, opening different doors.

All in all, it's about the enjoyment of life; at best it's bright, at worst it's ridiculous. Contact me if you think we can work together!
